DESCRIPTION:WAA’s Supporting Parents of Autism (SPA) support group is mental health counseling for parents who have children on the autism spectrum.\nLed by very seasoned and highly respected mental health counselors, these sessions offer support and community. We come from all walks of life, have children that are toddlers, school-aged, and adults. We also have many shared experiences and are here for one another. This group is for parents only and child care is not offered at this time.\nAbout our SPA therapists:\nCarrie Sheppard, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor with 25 years of experience working with children and families. She’s also the parent of two boys with diagnosed neuro-developmental disorders.
