At Seattle Asperger's Support our goal is to provide high quality intervention to develop social, communication and emotional regulation skills in our clients. We have expanded our services this year to middle school and high school youth on Tuesday evenings, and added a group for preschool age children to our Saturday services. Additionally we have added services for children who are "emerging perspective takers."
At Seattle Asperger's Support we provide skill development groups focusing on building social skills, emotional regulation, and improved social communication skills. Our services are generally appropriate for children and youth diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, PDD-NOS, High Functioning Autism , Nonverbal Learning Disability, and ADHD. Many of our clients have no diagnosis, simply difficulties with social skills. Our therapy services include methodology for building social skills that is founded on the concepts of Social Thinking™ developed by Michelle Garcia Winner.
At Seattle Asperger's Support we strive to make sure that children and youth who are in need of our services are able to receive them. Each family participates in one intake appointment, two family sessions, and then joins the appropriate group. Intakes Appointments are $75.00, Family Sessions are $90.00, Group Sessions are $60.00 per session. We are currently a preferred provider for First Choice Insurance. We utilize a sliding scale for families in need of one for a limited number of spots in each group. We currently accept checks, cash and credit or debit cards for payment. Payment is expected at the end of each Intake or Family Session. Once clients are enrolled in groups, payment is expected promptly at the end of the month. We recognize that since we run a program throughout the entire school year that family obligations sometimes interfere with ability to attend social group. Each family is given two "free passes" to be used for any Saturday they have a conflict during the year. There is no charge when clients are ill or when families are unable to travel safely during inclement weather. Other than those circumstances payment is expected for all sessions during the year unless other arrangements have been made. Detailed receipts are provided monthly for insurance reimbursement.
