Shana graduated with a Bachelor of Science (1996) from the University of Washington and holds a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (1999) from Idaho State University. She has worked with children from six months to 21 years of age in home-based, clinical, and school settings serving children with mild to severe communication differences and disorders. Shana strives to meet the needs of each individual client, which is what led her to the development of social skills groups with Heather Browne, M.S., OTR/L. She has incorporated her years of experience working with the pediatric population, as well as techniques from many continuing education courses into her daily treatment with her clients such as PROMPT, the Beckman technique, Social Thinking, and floortime training. Shana believes in facilitating functional communication skills within the child's natural language environments. She is available for consultation and treatment sessions within the home, school, and/or daycare. She welcomes ideas, thoughts, strategies, and techniques from other professionals, parents, and teachers to best meet the needs of the children and families with whom she works.
