AtWork! is a highly supportive and innovative conduit between people with disabilities and employers in the community. AtWork! approaches its mission of empowering people with disabilities to be productive, integrated, and contributing members of their communities from a unique 360-degree perspective.
Supported Employment is a service in which people with disabilities are assisted with obtaining and maintaining employment. AtWork! provides Employment Consultants to match qualified candidates to the needs of an employer. We support the job candidates through the application process, interviewing, on-boarding, training, retention of employment, as well as on-going career growth. The Employment Consultant also provides training and support to co-workers and supervisors on disability-related topics as well as how best to work with the employee. Community Inclusion services help people with disabilities to connect to others in the community that are doing the same things that they like to do! In our School to Work program, an Employment Consultant will work with the student and collaborate with parents and the adult services system. They’ll provide a skills assessment, job matching, job placement, benefits planning, and will coordinate resources for students and families.
