- Creating a Positive Behavior Support Plan collaboratively with the family to help them learn to work positively and effectively with their child
- Supporting the family by modeling strategies and providing feedback and guidance as the family begins to implement the plan
- Consulting and collaborating with schools and community providers
- Providing individual or family counseling as needed
- Collaborating with Division of Developmental Disabilities case managers to provide support for the family
- Participating as active members of community based teams, when applicable
- Providing the family with resources for community supports, recreational activities, and ongoing services to help them after services have ended
BeST services are available to children and youth ages 3 – 17 who reside in King County and are currently enrolled clients of Washington’s Region 2 Division of Developmental Disabilities. BeST is not a first line crisis response program.
