We train dogs to provide assistance to Veterans, children and adults with physical, developmental disabilities, anxiety, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Our accomplishments: In nine short years, we have placed forty partnership teams, established youth programs in a local high school and an alternative school for at-risk youth, started a program for Veterans, and a program at Cedar Creek Correction Center in Little Rock where the inmates live with these dogs and train them for the Veterans.
In 2012 we received our accreditation with Assistance Dogs International (ADI) and we were recognized by the State Senate.
We have opened our doors to several youth groups such as a camp for autistic children, the Parks and Recreation Youth Camp, Girl Scouts and home-schooled kids. We also participate in helping high school seniors with their culminating projects. We’ve trained dogs for children with seizures, young adults with hearing impairments, visual impairment, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, autistic children, etc.
We are one of the few organizations who will train a dog for a child under 16 years of age. Yes, of course the family needs to be involved in ensuring the dogs are cared for, but we believe that the dogs can provide so much to each unique situation that it only makes sense for us to make the best matches that we can
