CHILD is a three-component 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides:
1. Therapeutic day-school services
2. Pediatric clinical therapy services for students and private clients (ages 3 - 18), and
3. Support and training for parents and professionals.
Our therapeutic day-school program works very well for children who are unable to attend public school due to a variety of learning challenges and for students missing skills needed to cope with the performance demands of a school day. Students are placed in partnership with school districts throughout Puget Sound. Our students are a different kind of gifted and we nurture those gifts every day.
In addition to academics, CHILD focuses on teaching children self-regulation, coping skills, resilience and relationship-building to help create the possibility of students returning to their home school district within one to three years.
CHILD admits students of any race, color, national/ethnic origin, religion, gender identity, and socioeconomic class to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school-administered programs.
For more information about admissions, please call 425.336.3260. For information about our pediatric therapy services including Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Therapy and Mental Health Counseling, please call 425.336.7047.
