Located in Pioneer Square, our Client Services Office (CSO) provides free mail and banking services for homeless and low-income people. For those who are homeless, a mailing address provides stability and the opportunity to apply for benefits, seek employment, access resources, and exercise the right to vote. The Compass Center Day Center is a welcoming space where people experiencing homelessness can find a path out of it. Housed at The Compass Center on Alaskan Way and S Washington Streets, people can seek refuge, meals, and basic services as well as connect with housing navigation support, case management, entitlements and other benefits, mental health counseling, and nursing services. Additional day services such as laundry, showers, mail, and banking are also available on-site.
Services are available on a drop-in basis, though guests are asked to register and agree to basic behavioral guidelines.
Emergency Shelter
Access to our emergency shelters is through referral only. If you are a single woman seeking shelter, please go to the Women’s Referral Center at 2030 3rd Ave. If you are a veteran, visit the King County Veterans Program for a possible referral. To reach shelter staff, please call the program number during the listed hours of operation.
