Sibshops are fun, action-packed workshops in which siblings of children with special needs are encouraged to share challenges and celebrate joys with their peers in similar situations. It’s a celebration of the many contributions that the siblings of children with special needs make to their families and communities. During Sibshops, we mix fun games, playground time, and social activities with opportunities for discussion and connection. We strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, vulnerable space for siblings. It is empowering and normalizing to connect to peers and adults who share the unique bond of having a sibling with a disability who “get it!”
**Please note: Although we make every attempt to accommodate everyone who registers, we do have a limited number of spaces for Sibshops. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for each session, and confirmed via e-mail. If we do not have enough children registered for a group, Sibshops will be cancelled for that month.
