We offer two branches of services: Caregiver/Family Coaching and Play & Social Groups. Our coaching can be done via videoconferencing (virtual), or in-person, depending on location. We primarily serve North King County and South Snohomish County. At Learning to Play, we support children and families through the use of behavior analytic principles with a specific focus on social-emotional development for young children and toddlers. Our core values include meeting families where they are at, building a strong social-emotional foundation for learning, respecting diverse cultural backgrounds, designing customized family-driven therapeutic goals, and boosting confidence in parent-child relationships. We specialize in teaching parents strategies to help their child succeed. Skills targeted could include potty training, sleep training, transitions, challenging behavior, daily routines, and sibling relationships. We provide in-person and virtual services.
Our inclusive Play & Social groups are held monthly for children ages 2.5-8 years old. These groups are held at a park and children of all abilities are welcome! We foster a no-pressure environment, where children are encouraged to participate in whatever way feels comfortable. Parents/caregivers are present to build community and help their children feel comfortable. The focus is on having fun!
