Family Consultation and Advocacy services for ALL families including non-English speaking, refugee, immigrant, black, indigenous families. Help families understand home-based recommendations, instructional techniques or school-based recommendations, provision of culturally tailored supports for families to best support their children across environments (home, school, therapies, community).
Positive Behavior Support: Suggestions for working with challenging behavior and home-based accommodations that are culturally and environmentally relevant.
Disability information and education: Better understand a diagnosis, speaking with family members about a diagnosis, accessing culturally tailored community resources, navigating the special education system, family -school partnership. Services include IEP and re-evaluation preparation, school meeting interpretations (Spanish/English), facilitating communications between home and school, IEP meeting accompaniment, school observations, FBA/BIP review.
