Since 1963 Morningside has been helping change the lives of individuals with disabilities by matching their skill and interest with jobs in the community. Morningside is one of the nation’s most successful programs for matching individuals having significant disabilities with jobs in the community. Our success lies in the extremely professional, qualified and motivated staff who are the solid linkage between employers and people with disabilities who want to work.

We are committed to assisting businesses to recruit and retain employees with disabilities. We thrive on excellent customer service.

Morningside is a public benefit corporation (private not-for-profit 501-(c)(3)) Community Rehabilitation Program providing employment services to individuals with disabilities. The corporation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. The Board sets Morningside’s major direction, establishes policies, and is focused on the inclusion of adults with disabilities in the workplace. The Board is comprised of community leaders representing the rich diversity of the region. Morningside’s rehabilitation services are provided by the Employment Services Division. More than 1,000 individuals with disabilities access these services on an annual basis. Services are provided in six counties in western Washington including: Thurston/Mason (Corporate Headquarters) Lewis, Clallam, Grays Harbor and Pierce County. Services provided are individualized and focus on preparing for, securing and maintaining employment opportunities for people with a variety of disabilities and other barriers to employment. Respect, dignity and the belief in the rights of all persons to be welcomed and included in the fabric of their communities, drive our rehabilitation services.

More than 90 professional staff provide employment planning and preparation, job development, training and coaching to ensure each individual achieves his/her employment goals. Staff receives intensive and on-going training focused on person-centered techniques, positive behavior supports, individual choice and advocacy. As a CARF accredited organization, each individual served & each referring or funding agency can be assured that services meet the highest national quality standards and best practices in the field today.
