Description

Designated as a Center of Excellence through Washington State Health Care Authority

Dr. Sam Keblawi has practiced pediatrics for 25 years in Spokane and the Spokane Valley. What he most enjoys about being a pediatrician is meeting patients as newborns and having the privilege of caring for them through their entire childhood until they reach young adulthood. Pediatricians spend 3 years of additional training in a pediatrics residency. Pediatricians can treat children from birth through age 21 and address most health concerns young people face.

Dr. Keblawi’s philosophy of patient care is “make sure you listen to parents. They know best what is going on with their child.” With a special interest in behavioral medicine, Dr. Keblawi can diagnosis and review treatment options for ADHD, oppositional defiance, mood disorders, and anxiety and depression (which have been on the increase for young people during the pandemic). “I am experienced diagnosing these conditions and talking to parents about these concerns and prescribing medication if necessary.”

Special Autism Training
Dr. Keblawi also has special training in autism evaluations and can provide this service for parents wondering if their child may be autistic. “I want parents to know that I can address most issues through a call, video, or in-person visit. No question is too insignificant. Don’t feel like you are bothering us. Ask and we are happy to help.”
