The North Kitsap School District, in partnership with the community, will provide an academically challenging educational program to meet the diverse needs of all students in a safe, nurturing environment and empower them to be competent, creative, compassionate and contributing citizens.
Welcome to the North Kitsap School District's Special Education website! We serve 900+ students in 10 schools district wide. We have staff members ranging in expertise from resource room teachers, life skills and intensive support teachers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, and psychologists all ready, willing and able to meet the student where they're at and assist them in their learning environments.
We have inclusion preschools at Poulsbo, Vinland and Wolfle Elementaries. We have resource rooms in every elementary, middle, and high school in the district, and Intensive Support Programs at Vinland, Poulsbo, and Wolfle. Poulsbo Middle School, Kingston High School and North Kitsap High School also have Life Skills classes. All schools have related service providers who are able to provide speech and occupational therapy services.
