Our affiliate collaborates with others to advocate for system change and public policies that best serve to support recovery and resiliency for those whose lives are affected by mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>NAMI Whatcom values support, education, advocacy and research. These are the &#8220;four pillars&#8221; of NAMI and have long been the foundation upon which we have built the NAMI movement.<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>What We Do<\/h2>\n<div><strong>Attention: At this time we do not currently have any classes scheduled. We apologize for the inconvenience. Those who would like to be contacted when classes start up again are welcome to sign up for our mailing list on the homepage, or continue to use our sign-up forms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NAMI Whatcom provides support for persons with mental illness in numerous ways. We are a leading voice on service-related issues that impact the mentally ill. We educate families, professionals and the public about the scientific evidence that shows serious mental illnesses are neurobiological brain disorders.<\/p>\n<p>We offer numerous\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.namiwhatcom.org\/programs-and-services.html\">programs<\/a>\u00a0and resources that encompass our values that support our mission.
