The Navy\u2019s Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) assists Navy families with special needs to include:<\/p>\n

\u25cf Developmental requirements<\/p>\n
\u25cf Special Education requirements<\/p>\n
\u25cf Accessibility\/Adaptive equipment<\/p>\n
\u25cf Assistive Technology devices and services<\/p>\n
\u25cf Specific mental health conditions<\/p>\n
If you have an exceptional family member, EFMP enrollment is mandatory so that the US Navy can provide you and your family support, to include duty station recommendations that have adequate medical and educational facilities for your family. <\/p>\n
Navy EFMP Coordinators, located in military hospitals and clinics throughout the fleet (also called Military\/Medical Treatment Facilities or MTFs), are available to help with enrollment, status updates, and disenrollments. <\/p>\n
Navy EFMP Case Liaisons, located in Fleet Family Support Centers (FFSCs), provide non-medical case management and access to resources both on base and in the local community. <\/p>\n
The EFMP module is available online at the NFAAS website at https:\/\/navyfamily.navy.mil. The NFAAS Navy Family Member\u2019s User Guide is available after login under the help tab.<\/p>\n
