{"id":5178,"date":"2021-02-19T12:12:17","date_gmt":"2021-02-19T20:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/washingtonautismadvocacy.org\/resources\/?post_type=wpbdp_listing&#038;p=5178"},"modified":"2021-02-19T12:12:17","modified_gmt":"2021-02-19T20:12:17","slug":"skagit-islands-head-start","status":"publish","type":"wpbdp_listing","link":"https:\/\/washingtonautismalliance.org\/resources\/business-providers\/skagit-islands-head-start\/","title":{"rendered":"Skagit\/Islands Head Start"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Head Start is a free, comprehensive child development program for pregnant moms and\/or children birth to five years of age from low-income families.<\/p>\n<p>Skagit\/Islands Head Start provides a safe, healthy, nurturing environment so that each family, child, and staff member may reach their potential within the community.<\/p>\n<p>Early Head Start is a prenatal to three-year-old program focusing on relationship development between parent and child.<\/p>\n<p>Preschool Head Start is a center-based program for three- to five-year-old children providing learning opportunities leading to higher levels of school readiness.<\/p>\n<p>Skagit\/Islands Head Start serves 451 children and families in Skagit, Island, and San Juan Counties of beautiful Washington State.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 348 children are enrolled in our 10 Head Start centers. These half-day preschool classrooms meet four days a week.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 The remaining 103 are pregnant women and birth-to-three-year-old children that form our Early Head Start program.
