A story of Giving from Shayan Forough and Eric Hosford
Eric Hosford, the Internet Sales Manager for the Michaels Toyota of Bellevue, received a package at the front desk. He didn’t know who sent this package, where it came from, nor what was inside. Here was where this story starts.
Eric enjoys working at the Michaels Toyota of Bellevue since it is a big family. “We all work together to provide a truly exceptional service to those in need of cars”, Eric said, “everyone here is a piece to the puzzle, a gear cog in the machine, or a link to the chain. Our boss looks for people with hearts of gold”.
Inside the package was a letter from Shayan Forough, with a "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" DVD. Shayan mailed his DVD to Eric for sharing it with kids whose parents are buying cars at the Michaels Toyota of Bellevue. “He must have enjoyed our playroom at our dealership during his visit.”, Eric thought, “When I read his letter and took a look at the DVD, I was taken back for a moment thinking, “This kid spent his time, effort, and his belonging to make sure other kids could enjoy life, even for a fraction of time, a little bit more".”
On Oct 24, 2018, Eric wrote a letter back to Shayan, to make sure that Shayan knows that he and his gift was appreciated. Eric had no doubted to use his words to show how what Shayan did warmed people who received and noticed this story. Also, Eric shared his own story of life with his newfound friend Shayan.
“Eric could have ignored this, but instead wrote this lovely letter back to him. It went a very long way to brighten up Shayan's day!”, Shayan’s mother Arzu Forough, who founded Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy, was extremely moved by Eric’s letter. “This gentleman’s wonderful act of kindness made Shayan’s day and mine”
Here is the story, it started with an unknown package, but would NEVER stop at anywhere. There is a saying: “the fragrance always remains on the hand that gives the flower”, we believe that people who are reading this story are also someone like Shayan and Eric, righteous, kind, and selfless. Just as Eric mentioned in his note: It's good deeds like this that makes life worth living!!!
