Presenter:
Ryan Ford is the founder of Ford Law Firm PLLC
Ryan represents parents and students in educational legal matters in Washington. Prior to Ford Law Firm opening in 2017, Ryan worked at an education law firm in California that represents school districts
and a boutique civil litigation firm in Washington.
Ryan is a zealous advocate for parents and students confronting school districts and colleges. School districts in Washington often lack the resources to provide a free appropriate public education to students that qualify for special education and related services. Instead of meeting their legal obligations, many school districts in Washington often pro forma gaslight families. Ryan has a track record of success helping families navigate complex special education and other education-related legal issues to meet his clients’ objectives.
Ryan has helped numerous parents obtain private placements in nonpublic agency schools at district expense. Often times private placements range in cost from $50,000 per year to $200,000 per year.
Ryan has resolved numerous education matters without litigation and without filing for due process. Ryan, however, has seen firsthand how school districts in Washington operate and revels in being a watchdog over school districts and colleges to hold them accountable to the families and students they are supposed to serve.
