Have you been feeling the chill in the air? Are you ready to ditch the snow and ice and start feeling some warmth? Do you need something to Warm Your Heart? Join us during the month of February as we reach out to our community, our family and our friends, to raise money and support the work Washington Autism Alliance is doing to advocate and support individuals and families navigating autism and other developmental disabilities.
Not sure where or how to get started?
Step 1-Start with identifying your network of people and how you connect with them. Are they into social media such as Facebook or do they prefer email.
Step 2- Think of activities or events you and your child love. Get creative: Do it solo or do it with someone else. Show your support and in the process, Warm Your Heart.
Here are some ideas to help you get started:
- Have your child create thank you artwork to send to every person that donates to your Warm Your Heart campaign
- Host a bake sale or lemonade stand
- Start a Warm Your Heart wall in your home. Every person that donates to your campaign earns a heart with their name on the wall. Post pictures twice a week to show your appreciation and show off the love your network is showing towards autism.
- Ask your friends and family to send WAA a Valentine’s Day gift during the week of February 12th. Donate - Washington Autism Alliance
Step 3- Send out communication (Email, Facebook, Instagram, etc…)to kick start your fundraiser.
Step 4- Communicate and stay connected-: Make sure to send updates to your friends and family to let them know how your fundraiser is going and what they can do to help.
