The legislative session is underway as of Jan. 13th. We're tracking several bills that are important to the individuals and families we work with:
- HB 1051 - Permitting the recording of individualized education program team meetings.
- HB 1241 - Improving access to and provision of a free appropriate public education for students with disabilities.
- HB 1257, SB 5253 - Extending special education services to students with disabilities until the end of the school year in which the student turns 22.
- HB 1296 - Promoting a safe and supportive public education system.[Jan 23 at 8:00 AM, Scheduled for public hearing in the House Committee on Education]
- HB 1310, SB 5307 - Fully Funding Equitable, High-Quality Services for All Students with Disabilities [Jan 22 at 1:30 PM, Scheduled for public hearing in the Senate Committee on Early Learning & K-12 Education]
- HB1200, SB5211 - Authorizing payment for parental caregivers of minor children with developmental disabilities.
