Every year I get so excited by the thought of summer. The long, sunny days and the warmer weather are what I look forward to the most. What I don’t look forward to is the challenges my child experiences without the routine of the regular school year. He thrives on routine, and even though he has Extended School Year (ESY) part of his day, the other part is different and initially different isn’t comfortable for him.
