Have you heard of Jordyn Zimmerman? Jordyn is an autistic woman who is leading the charge as a non speaking advocate for disability rights. School was a struggle for Jordyn and her intelligence was grossly underestimated when she was younger. Thanks to advocacy, her life began to change when she was 18 years old. Assistive technology opened up her world and guided the world to better understand Jordyn. Now thanks to assistive technology and her desire to help others, Jordyn pushes for changes to the tools and supports in education. “An avid advocate for all learners, Jordyn's vision is clear: To ensure everyone is able to access effective communication and exercise their right to truly inclusive communities.”
