I'm writing in support of an $80,000 budget proviso that will study Enhanced Behavior Support Homes and make a recommendation to the legislature on how to bring this model to Washington State. These homes are intended to provide adolescents and adults (with significantly challenging behaviors) behavior therapy and psychiatric services in a home setting as opposed to a hospital ER or extended hospital stay. This is a highly important project for communities across our state, and I'm writing for your help for the inclusion of this project in the final budget.
